Fish Get Carried Around Here

Here's my son's Christmas quilt. He's been carrying around this turtle fabric, and this fish fabric ever since I bought it last spring. I'm using a pattern from the book, Start With Squares, by Martha Thompson. She has a funny way of doing these triangle gems, and it's not too accurate but very efficient. I'm making 8 of these blocks, set on point with the fish as the setting triangles. Then there's a goldfish border with ship corner posts, so stay tuned for this one.
