Sunday Morning

For several years I've had these fabrics from my sister, left overs from a beautiful quilt she had made. The fabrics are Daisy Kingdom-era beauties that she tea-dyed and used color remover on, making them so cool, I was afraid to use them. However, when I saw the Sunday Morning pattern in the new book of the same name, I knew I had found my solution. My blocks turned out to be rectangles, not squares, because I didn't have enough fabric to add an extra strip to each block. I love the idea of having the other part of a quilt Tracey made, plus her extra care with the fabrics makes it feel more loving to me, too.
